Angela Griffen Public Relations/Public Affairs

For 18 years I have worked with Ray Avery, originally on the establishment and growth of The Fred Hollows Foundation in New Zealand and then for Medicine Mondiale.  Both have been my pro bono clients.

I have my own eponomyous public relations and public affairs business which consults for a wide variety of New Zealand and internationally based clients and projects from building reputations to managing crises.

My role with Medicine Mondiale has been to use my professional skills to strategically put in place opportunities and relationships with media and the community that will raise the profile and raise funds for both organisations.

I share Ray’s determination to communicate and inspire people from all walks of life - to be the best they can be.

Having traveled to some very interesting places with Ray and been in some challenging situations I am aware that making the world a better place is not easy.  The smart thinking that drives the Medicine Mondiale team makes anything possible.

Originally I was a journalist but have been in the public relations business for over 25 years. I have long term relationships, across all media, local and national government and a variety of communities.

It is important to me to use all my skills to contribute to a better world.

I work with Medicine Mondiale is to do good not to be a ‘do gooder’. Ray’s pragmatic approach of getting on with the job rubs off on everyone who puts their hand up.
